Visit 2006/7 - December 28
As usual another sunny day on Ascension so in the afternoon we decided to climb Lady Hill.
Parking up by the side of the road and looking in the opposite direction to Lady Hill there are the inevitable Mexican Thorn Bushes in the foreground which are just about everywhere. Also from this direction Mountain Red to the right actually looks greener than Green mountain in the centre.
From halfway up Lady Hill the airstrip is clearly visible with the Wind Turbines that supply the US base in front.
From higher up Table crater is now visible on the right and yet again another example of how landscape features often have names that directly relate to how they actually look.
